At Ora Massage and Healing, our focus is on “Therapeutic Healing.” Unlike traditional relaxation massages, we utilize Thai Medical Theory combined with an understanding of human anatomy. We target specific “trigger points” and energy lines (Sen Sib) to treat the root cause of your pain, such as myofascial trigger points or chronic muscle tension. Every session begins with a brief physical assessment.
We often describe the sensation as “Good Pain.” Since we are working on deep-seated muscle tension and adhesions, you may feel significant pressure or a dull ache in problem areas. However, it should never be unbearable. I will constantly communicate with you to ensure the pressure stays within your comfort zone.
This depends on the severity and duration of your condition. For Office Syndrome, many clients feel significant relief within 1–4 sessions. For long-standing chronic issues, we recommend a consistent treatment plan initially to “retrain” your muscles and achieve long-term recovery.
Yes, but with important precautions. If you are currently under the care of a physician, specialist, or physical therapist for a specific injury or chronic condition, we strictly require that you inform them and seek their professional advice or clearance before booking a session with me.
Attire: Wear loose, comfortable clothing (we also provide massage outfits for your convenience).
Meals: Avoid eating a heavy meal at least 1 hour before your session.
Medical Records: If you have recent X-rays or a doctor’s diagnosis regarding your pain, please feel free to bring them for a more accurate assessment.
It is common to experience “Massage Soreness” or a mild “healing crisis” (feeling slightly feverish or achy) for 1–2 days after a deep tissue treatment. This is a normal response as your body releases tension.
